I'm calling this the Unconventional Lovesongs Mixtape. I came to a revelation on a long roadtrip this past weekend that no one really likes the cheesy cliched lovesongs, not if you have any semblance of taste. Even if you don't, people must get tired of the myriad ways of rewriting "I can't live without you girl" or "I'll hold onto you forever." I prefer something a bit more oblique, and with a little bit of a bitter twist as well. Real life is never like those phony love songs. So let's have a mixtape of some clever twists on the love song genre to kick off this blog in style.
